Laura has lived and worked in Loudoun County for over 18 years. She was employed with a local CPA firm for 10+ years with an extensive background in individual and corporate taxes, payroll processing, consulting and training. Additionally, she has worked as a QuickBooks software consultant for the past 9 years. Before moving to Loudoun County, she and her husband worked for Joe Gibbs as house parents and directors of Youth for Tomorrow in Bristow, VA. Laura taught high school for three years in Manassas, VA after earning her B.S. in Business Education from James Madison University.
Laura is a member of the Loudoun Women Business Forum and QuickBooks ProAdvisors. She and her husband volunteered many years with Young Life in both Prince William and Loudoun Counties and currently remain busy with various roles at Destiny Church.
Laura earned her Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia. After working in public accounting for two years, she settled into a role as a financial analyst for Anderson Consulting where she remained for the next eight years. Laura took time off to be a full-time mother to her two boys and re-entered the accounting workforce in 2006. During her time off, she worked weekends for Winchester Homes as a sales assistant, and had the opportunity to meet many of the new homeowners moving to Loudoun County. She has lived in Leesburg for 11+ years and has enjoyed volunteering at the various schools her boys attended. Laura's specialities include bookkeeping and baking - she has been known to surprise her clients with a special treat from time-to-time!
